Greys class 19th December

Date: 19th Dec 2019 @ 12:56pm

The end of term has finally arrived and what a busy term it has been!

We began the week with 3 performances of Gabriel's Big Break, which began with the dress rehearsal to Highmoor class in the morning and then the afternoon and evening performances to our friends and families. The children were all amazing and a big thank you to all the parents for providing the costumes and listening to the children learn their lines and songs over the last few weeks. The children worked extremely hard and absolutely loved performing to everyone, we are all very proud of them.

We finished making our hand puppets and will be bringing them home with us. As we did so well with our sewing we decided to use our new found skills to make some Christmas bauble decorations, which we then decorated with sparkly sequins. We have really enjoyed making the different decorations this week and can't wait to share them with our families,

On Wednesday we did a Science experiment to investigate what would happen to chocolate if we put it into warm water and then left it in different places in the classroom. It was interesting to see how quickly it set in some areas and how it didn't set as quickly in others. Some didn't set at all because we had squished it so much whilst in the bag in the water, that water had leaked into the bag and mixed with the chocolate. We had so much fun doing this that a few of us have decided to do it at home over the Christmas holidays.

On Thursday we made our Christingles ready for our Church service later this evening. We loved spending quality time with our brothers and sisters and other members of our teams.

There will be no show and tell or spellings the first week back in the new term, but please continue to read over the holidays.

Please ensure that you have returned your consent forms for our trip to Milestones on Wednesday 8th January, for which the children will need to be in school for 8:30/40 for an 8:50am departure. They will require a packed lunch as we will not return to school until 3:30.

The children have worked incredibly hard this term in all areas and have been a delight to teach, bringing so much joy and fun to every single day. We would like to thank you for all for your lovely cards and kind gifts and wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
