Greys class 25th June
Date: 24th Jun 2021 @ 1:39pm
It has been assessment week this week and the children have worked extremely hard. A big well done to them all.
In Maths the Year 1s have been ordering numbers and the Year 2s have been working with grams and kilograms.
When we were learning about animation in Computing we wrote some questions to a friend of Mr Sones’ who is an animator. She kindly answered our questions and we listened to those answers on Thursday afternoon through a video that she had made.
On Thursday we had our first tennis lesson of the year and practised throwing, hitting and catching. It was so much fun!
In Science we labelled the parts of a flower and tree, describing the functions of each part. We also learned all about the different kinds of deciduous and evergreen trees and did some pencil drawings of wild flowers.
We said goodbye to Mr Sones who has completed his teacher training and will be starting at his new school in September with his Year 6 class. We would like to say a big thank you for all his help and wish him lots of luck in his new role.
Thank you for this week’s book reviews.
Charlie – The 26 Storey Treehouse
Lucien – Dragon Quest, Krytor the Blood Bat
Henry – The Detective Dog
This week’s book reviews are for Max, Rosie and Margot. Book templates can be found in the homework section on school spider or may create your own.
