Highmoor week commencing 17th December

Date: 21st Dec 2018 @ 11:28am

Christmas holidays are here! What an exciting and fun packed end to our first term in Highmoor!

Our week started with Year 4 taking a trip to Chiltern Edge to see Alice the musical which was great fun. Back at school Year 3 took a trip on the Polar Express and had cookies and hot chocolate while thinking about the descriptive language used in the story.

On Tuesday we had our annual Christmas singalong which involved lots of musical instruments and lots of enthusiastic singing! It was such a lovely afternoon spent as a whole school together.

The school Christmas lunch on Wednesday was enjoyed by all and we all got to spend a bit of time with Father Christmas.

Thursday was the sponsored walk which again was another fantastic whole school activity. The weather was kind to us on the day although the walk was very muddy! We were all in good spirits throughout the walk and built up a good appetite ready for lunch.

On Friday we finished our science topic by applying all we'd learned about magnets in creating our own magnetic games.

Throughout the week we have been doing lots of Christmas crafts and have spent time practising our recorders ready for the Christingle service.

Mrs Claridge, Miss Tillotson, Mrs Hall and Mrs Cleall would like to take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your very generous gifts. It is a real pleasure working with your children and we are looking forward to next year and all the exciting things we have planned.

We hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and get to spend some time relaxing with your families amongst all the craziness of Christmas!
