Peppard Class - 12th October 2018

Date: 12th Oct 2018 @ 2:58pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

We had  wonderful start to the week with our trip to Oak Farm.  A huge thank you to Sam and Lou for hosting and providing a bespoke range of activities and experiences for the children.  Each area of the farm had an activity related to the story that we were learning.  The children told the story of The LIttle Red Hen whilst they were at the farm.  We had a super time.  When we arrived back at school, the children did some lovely pictures of their outing.

On Tuesday we innovated the story of the LIttle Red Hen.  We chose new characters for the story.

On Wednesday we learned to sing Old McDonald using sign language.  We used some of the animals that were in the story and some of the animals that we chose when we innovated the story.

We had two sessions of PE this week, the first was a movement session all about Autumn animals   The second session was on the common and we developed our football skills.  We were very impressed with the dribbling and the kicking.  Well done Peppard Class!

In phonics this week, we have been recapping the sounds so far and we added 'b', 'h', and tricky word 'the'.

Every child has read with me this week, they are doing very well.  Please keep reading at home - it makes such a difference.

In maths this week, we have started to learn about money.  We used 1p coins to make our own book shop.  We also played a money bingo game.

We would like to invite you to come and see some of the songs and pictures that we done over the last few weeks.  Please join us on Thursday afternoon at 3 pm.
