‘Creating a Love of Learning’

Encourage one another and build each other up.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

We aim to provide the best opportunities and experiences for all in our school,
so that they can achieve fully and become life-long learners.

We nurture our children in a Christian atmosphere so that they are able to make
a positive difference to their community.

At Peppard, our vision for every child is that they will have the best possible learning opportunities and experiences as they progress through from Reception to year six. We are a small rural village school where our caring community nurtures children in order that they are able to achieve their best and, in turn, encourages them to nurture each other. Our school motto is "Encourage one another and build each other up," and this is manifested throughout every school day.

Our school is a special and unique place; it lies at the heart of a rural village and is situated on the edge of the village common. The children play here daily. They learn to respect boundaries and to make decisions about keeping themselves and others safe. Children are trusted to safely make full use of this large open space.

As they progress through school, Peppard children enjoy a broad curriculum taught by dedicated, enthusiastic staff. They also enjoy a wide range of experiences, such as Henley Youth Festival, regular trips (including a week long residential trip), visitors coming in, Henley Literary Festival and specialist after school provision. Children are given opportunities to take responsibility for aspects of our school life through our school and worship councils and class leadership roles. The school also has an effective buddy system between our Reception and year six children.

Peppard children are encouraged to think about their place in our local community and the wider world. They are able to identify causes that matter to them and lead fundraising initiatives and develop their understanding through leading assemblies and worship. Our children know that their voice and actions can count. They undetsand that by encouraging each other and building each other up, they can make a difference.

We enjoy strong links with All Saints' Church, where we enjoy services all year round. Whilst we are a church school, we welcome children and families from all faiths and none; we are here to serve all members of our school community.

We are proud of our school and warmly welcome visitors.

Please contact myself, or Fiona Hilton to book a visit.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Nick Steele.
