Peppard class - 13 March 2020

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

In phonics we have recapped the sounds -  short and long oo, ar and or.  We have been practising writing words, captions and sentences.  The children are feeling more confident to write during their choosing time.

In maths we have been looking at the number bonds to 10 using 'part part whole' and we have been halving and sharing with numbers up to 10.  We talked about odd and even numbers.

The children thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Nettlebed primary to join in with a drama workshop about under the sea.  The class were all engaged and actively involved.  When we returned to school, we made some pictures of our own under the sea monsters.

On Thursday, we learned a dance about the big 5 in Africa.  I was very impressed with the results and we recorded each group before watching ourselves back on the big screen.
