4- 8 December

This week saw a departure from our daily Grey's routine.  The children completed standardized literacy and Maths assessments.  They all managed admirably and were reassured that this process is necessary to ensure that we, as educators, re-evaluate our teaching. The results are a really useful tool which inform our future planning and teaching methods.

The class seemed more settled when we returned to our morning routine.  Year 1 parents, you will have noticed that our reading routine needing adjusting this past week to accommodate the assessments.

Grey's class played rugby on Tuesday morning and came back to class envigorated and very muddy!

I am so proud of how well they have learned their lines and and the lyrics to the many songs for our Nativity play.  There is no doubt that you are all going to love seeing your child on our beautiful new stage.

Thank you all for ensuring your child has an amazing costume for the show. A special note of thanks to Lottie Eary for her assistance; her time and stage direction are much appreciated.

A few weeks ago I shared with you that the children found a YouTube video on giving accurate instructions, hilarious. Several parents have asked me to share the link on the blog. Here it is:
