RE Day

On Thursday it was RE day and we went to St Michael's church where Father Michael talked about the history of the church and his religion. He spoke to us about the different Saints and described why some were good and some were bad. He also informed us that October 13th was St Michaels's feast day and that is why he gave us jam tarts when he finished speaking. 

DT day

On Tuesday it was DT day and we made automata toys. They are toys made with a wooden structure and moving parts made from cams and rods. The brief was to design a toy that would go into a shop window as a display. Designs included those for bookshops, science museum shop, a Halloween haunted house for a fancy dress shop and pet shop. It was a challenging task but one that we enjoyed.

Literacy

We are finalising our versions of The Fox and the stars stories. This week we planned draft versions inside booklets before we finalise the stories. Next week we hope to complete the stories and present them to the Greys and Highmoor class.
