Science

During science this week we have been learning about our Solar System. We have learnt the distance of all the planets from the sun, and the their sizes. We demonstrated our learning by using materials and objects to make scaled down versions of the planets so that we could understand their size compared to each other. We also scaled down the distances from the sun and then drew them into the playground. It was great fun. 

Art

In art we have been making 3D maps. They were maps of real places, imaginary places or even our feelings. We used paper, wood, felt tips and more. We hope to bring them home before half term.

Literacy

We have had the opportunity to finish our Fox and the Stars adaptations. We created books bound with string and we illustrated them with colourful drawings. We are looking forward to sharing our stories with the children in the younger year groups when we return to school after half term.
