History

This week in history we have been continuing with our topic and we created our own Anglo-Saxon and Viking timelines. We also completed a quiz about the reasons behind the Anglo-Saxon and Viking settlements in Britain. We learnt about when and why in Britain the Angles, Jutes, Saxons, Frisians settled. It was really interesting and we learned a lot.

English

English has been fun this week. We have been writing trip advisor reviews about Valhalla. Valhalla is a mead hall that the Norse men warriors go once they have died. We had to imagine that we had been there and we were to write our opinion about our visit there. It was fun imagining what it would be like to go back in time to Valhalla.

Science

We have been learning about light. We have been discussing the difference between transparent, translucent and opaque. We got to design our own vase in either of those three forms. Everybodys was different, and we had to justify our design choices.  

Weaving

For DT we have been weaving like Anglo-Saxons. We made our looms out of card and wool. Everyone created different designs but they all looked amazing.
