Year 1 Buddies

The year 1 buddies have been having a lot of fun with the Year 6s this week. They have been playing plenty of games together on the common and enjoying each other's company.

Science

This week in science we were learning about different materials including cloth, tin foil and cling film. We were to investigate which material would be the best insulator for a lunch box design.  We covered ice in the different materials to see how quickly each ice cube melted. We discovered that the cling film was the best material to keep food cool. 
 

Sumdog

The last couple of weeks we have been doing spellings on sumdog for more practice. We have also been doing a maths competition against other schools in the area where we can win coins and get more points for the class.
