Greys 31st March

Date: 31st Mar 2023 @ 12:07pm

It's been a very long, final week for Greys Class. I think all the children are running on fumes and are certainly in need of a well deserved break.

In Maths, the y1s have been continuing their learning of addition and subtraction within 20. They've used number lines to count backwards and found the difference between two given numbers. The year 2s have been exploring different ways they can make £1 using different coins. They've also been adding amounts of money and determining whether they can afford to purchase items when given a budget.

In English, we have been practising proofreading our work to check it makes sense. We all read over our work from The Dark, and checked whether there was more detail we needed to add or whether we'd missed essential punctuation, ie. capitals and full stops.

On Monday, Greys had an RE day to support their learning of Easter ahead of our service on Wednesday. They learned of Lent and the significance of pancake day and Ash Wednesday. We also looked at Easter Week and the key events which led to Jesus' being crucified on a cross.

On Thursday, the children had a lovely afternoon with Mrs Cleall making Easter Cards.

Have a lovely Easter Break everyone,

Mrs W.
