This week in Springwood has been filled with lots of fun activities including a visit from Feathers and Fur; starting to make our moon buggies and a game of scatterball.

Feathers and fur

Feathers and Fur came into school this week to teach us all about the exciting birds in our area. They brought in a peregrine Falcon, a kestrel, a barn owl and a buzzard. 

DT

We have started making our own moon buggies out of junk modelling materials and wood. We tested out our electrical circuits to make sure they worked and we are now creating the chassis and thinking about the design.

PE

We played a new game called scatterball which is a variation on rounders. Instead of using bats you have to throw 3 balls as far as you can and try and score a rounder before the fielders get all the ball back into the bucket. It was a lot of fun and we hope to develop more rules as it grows.
