Highmoor 16th December

Date: 16th Dec 2022 @ 10:25am

Welcome to the last full week of school this term!

It has been a fun filled week, the highlight of which was our trip to the Natural History Museum in Oxford on Thursday. It was a great way to finish this half terms science topic. We got to investigate lots of different types of rocks and fossils in a workshop then had the chance to complete a trail around the museum consolidating our knowledge. Thank you to Sally for driving us.

We also got to watch the dress rehearsal for the Greys and Peppard nativity. We were all very impressed by the younger children.

In literacy we worked really hard to rewrite the story of Hansel and Gretel. We tried to include all of the things we have learnt this term in our literacy and spag lessons. The children did a brilliant job and should be very proud of themselves for the fantastic writing they produced.

In maths year 3 have been working on division and learning about grouping and sharing as different ways to solve division problems. Year 4 have been multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100.

We made paper chains to decorate our tree and wrote our Xmas wishes inside.

Homework is to read every day and do Doodle maths.

Have a lovely weekend all.
