Highmoor 8th April

Welcome to the last week of term in Highmoor.

We had a lovely time on Friday with our annual Easter egg roll. We spent time decorating the eggs and then had our competition on the Common.

In maths we worked on short division using the bus stop method and some of us were problem solving using division and multiplication. We also worked on using our skills to tell the time to solve problems.

In literacy we wrote leaflets to tie in with our geography topic that were persuading people to live greener lifestyles. We had some very emotive work with catchy slogans and strap lines. We also finished our dilemma stories based on the book The Great Kapok tree.

Tuesday was DT day. We made toys powered by air after learning about pneumatics and had fun using syringes and plastic tubing while we investigated how pneumatics work.

In Computing we used our coding knowledge to continue with a story that had been written using Scratch.
