Highmoor week commencing 22nd March

Date: 25th Mar 2021 @ 9:43pm

It's been a busy week in Highmoor with assessments in reading, maths and writing. These have been done in as low key a way as possible and the children have been assured that they are being done to help the teachers know how best to help them.

In maths year 4 have continued to work with fractions adding and subtracting them and solving word problems. Year 3 started to learn about perimeter and have been measuring and calculating the perimeter of shapes.

In literacy we focussed on possessive apostrophes and finished our story of The Lion and Unicorn.

PE has been more team games outside. We have really enjoyed our PE this term it has been such fun and we have loved the different challenges that we've been set and how they have improved our communication skills with each other.

We have been continuing with our sewing in DT and learned back stitch and cross stitch. We have all got better at threading a needle and our stitches have noticeably improved.

Spellings can be found on Spelling Shed and are also uploaded on to the website as a homework item. A multiplication challenge has also been set on Sumdog. Please ensure these are completed along with reading every day as this is the only homework that is being set.

Have a great weekend.
