Highmoor week commencing 5th July

Date: 9th Jul 2021 @ 11:20am

Welcome to another week in Highmoor.

In literacy we designed and wrote our leaflets persuading people to come and visit the Roman baths in Bath. The children did a great job and are keen to pay the site a visit!

In maths we all worked on our multiplication skills from using place value counters to help us understand exactly what we are doing to using our short multiplication skills to multiply 2 or 3 digit numbers by 1 digit and to solve tricky problems. Year 3 also continued to learn about time using analogue, 12 hour and 24 hour clocks.

We had lots of fun when we had a zoom meeting with a Roman soldier and an Iceni warrior! It was a great way to end our Romans topic with lots of marching, chanting and perfecting our war cries whilst learning about life as a soldier and a Briton.

We continued to learn about inequality in PSHE learning more about the life of a young girl in Malawi.

Homework is spellings, Sumdog, reading every day and practising times tables.

Have a great weekend everyone.
