Highmoor week commencing 7th December
Date: 10th Dec 2020 @ 1:36pm
Christmas has definitely arrived in Highmoor this week! Glitter is everywhere!
We had lots of fun finishing our forces topic in Science. We worked in groups designing our own games using magnets. Each game was totally different to the others. The games themselves were absolutely brilliant, we had a fish the Christmas token out of the box and do the forfeit on the back, race a friend moving a Christmas tree through a maze, pick up a bauble from the water and place it on the Christmas tree and lots more. We all had a chance to play with each other's games and had a fun morning exploring the force of magnetism.
In literacy we started to write non chronological reports about Venice. We thought about what information to include under each subheading and which pictures or diagrams we will include. Next week we will create web pages to display our work.
In art we printed Christmas baubles using different colours thinking about warm and cool tones and how they work with each other.
We made salt dough decorations which we will decorate next week. We had to carefully measure out the ingredients and had lots of fun mixing it together and then cutting out Christmas shapes.
Homework is Sumdog and spellings which can be found in the usual places. Please take the time to read every day. It really will have a huge impact.
Have a great weekend everyone!
