Peppard class - 14th December

Date: 14th Dec 2018 @ 12:44pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard Class.

The children did an amazing play on Monday.  They have worked hard and we were very proud of them.

In phonics this week, we have been recapping on our recent digraphs.  We will not be doing any new digraphs this term.  I am aware that the reading books are now slightly trickier but the children will develop their skills at spotting a digraph with plenty of practise.  It is essential that they read at home to embed these skills.  Please do not feel that they need to read the whole book - a page or two will suffice.  However, it is the regular practise that will support their development of reading and writing.

In maths this week, the children have been creating and continuing patterns.  We have done patterns using the children, Christmas patterns, used the whiteboard and made delicious healthy fruit skewers using pattern.

The children have been making their Christmas cards.  They are all completely designed for you by your child.  We provide the resources but the rest has been down to them.

We had our first PE session at Peppard War Memorial Hall on Thursday.  The children used gymnastics equipment and completed two circuits.

The children are welcome to bring in Show and Tell next week.

Have a lovely weekend.
