Welcome to the last week of the half term.  

In phonics this week, we have been recapping phase 2 and 3 including the tricky words.  It would be great if you could practise these over half term.  I am going to do a little assessment over the first two weeks when we come back.

In maths this week, we have been doing lots of practical activities that involve capacity, measuring and weight.  I hope you enjoyed the cakes that the children brought home.  They made them entirely by themselves.  I was extremely impressed.

During our independent learning times, we have observed the children doing some very creative play.  Some of the children worked as a team to design and build a castle.  They managed to include a bridge and seat that would hold their weight.  

Other groups were creating amazing narratives whilst they were playing.  Their communication and storylines are developing well.
