Peppard class - 15th March 2019

Date: 12th Mar 2019 @ 8:30pm

Welcome to Peppard Class.

We have taken full opportunity of the English weather this week.  We have used paper to make aeroplanes and kites and tested them outside.  We then tried using a plastic bag to see if it was more successful.  The children were extremely engaged.  We saw them have problems that needed solving.  They used all the characteristics of learning - exploring, creative thinking and teamwork.  We love to see these life skills developing in our class.

In phonics we have been playing games, reading, writing and recapping phase 3 phonics and tricky words.  Some of the children have started to read and write words with an extra consonant - ccvc words.

In maths this week, we have practised ordering numbers, adding numbers and playing maths games.  Please can you support your child with number recognition.

We had a wonderful time at the Henley Youth Festival - we are very grateful for the opportunity.  The children were all confident and they all joined in.  They loved seeing Mrs Wall and myself getting into character!

The children would like to invite you to see their work about the African tale Handa’s Surprise. Please come on Thursday at 3.15.
