Peppard class - 11.03.2022

Welcome to our week in Peppard Class.

We have been learning to read and write words with double letters and polysallibic words.  We have also been playing games to recap and apply the knowledge of phase 2 and phase 3 to make sure it is embedded. 

In maths we have been continuing the phase of 9 and 10.  We have been counting forwards and backwards, comparing numbers and learning number bonds to 10.  

We have enjoyed the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk' and we have observed our beans as they begin to sprout.  

During choosing time, we have been using our skills from our lessons and we have been writing secret messages and symbols.  We found a secret message that made us roll around!  It was in our postal portal box!  It is a joy to see the children engage with such excitement when applying their knowledge and creativity. 

We had a lovely time on Tuesday afternoon when we had a visitor from Henley Youth Festival who talked to us about friendship and then taught us to make a lovely friendship hanging heart.
