Peppard Class - 16th September

Date: 14th Sep 2022 @ 10:54pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

It has been such an exciting time as the children settle, make new friends and learn together.

We have enjoyed a few stories to help understand our feelings.  We have read and talked about The colour monster and The colour monster starts school.  We thought about each feeling and described times when we might have felt the same feelings.  We then designed our own colour monsters.  We finished these by making the faces that match the feelings.  When we had to look sad, we kept smiling!

In phonics we have been doing some phase 1 activities including developing our listening skills, blending skills, rhyme and alliteration.

In maths, we have used our 10 frame to explore number and grouping.  We have also played some counting games.

We have enjoyed choosing time, and we love our outdoor equipment.  It gives the children the opportunity to develop their creative thinking skills, active learning and perseverance.  The children also have to learn to share ideas and take turns.

We have spent some time with Greys class playing and doing PE.  We have talked about the Queen and listened to stories about her.
