Welcome to our week in Peppard class.
We have been learning some new digraphs and associated rhymes this week. We have learned:
oo as in 'book' and oo as in 'moon', ar, or
and tricky words:
was, you, they
We have also had a review session.

In maths this week we have been continuing in the phase - Alive in 5!
We have been learning about composition of numbers. We have watched some Numberblocks episodes and carried out some activities. We have also been problems solving and using our understanding of how numbers are made up of smaller numbers. We have recapped on Numberbonds to 5. We are working towards quick recall of these facts.
We have continued learning about Handa's surprise and Kenya. We have been investigating the different animals that live in Kenya. We read the story The Ugly Five and learned a dance about these animals. We made collages of the animals and listened to some authentic Kenyan music whilst we worked.
Have a lovely weekend. We will be writing and drawing our weekend news on Monday so maybe you could help your child decide what they want to write about.
