Peppard Class

Date: 21st Mar 2019 @ 5:59pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard Class.

We have been recapping our phase 3 sounds and tricky words in phonics this week.  We have used songs and games to help us remember them.  We have also been learning ccvc words and writing sentences.  2 syllable words are proving to be a bit tricky!

The children had a wonderful music session.  They learned about some percussion instruments and tapped out a simple beat.  They were so confident by the end of the session that they asked Mr Steele if they could perform in assembly.  We were very proud of them!

We continued to be proud of their confidence when they perfomed their innovated story about Handa's surprise - our version being Amelie's surprise - to you on Thursday.  We have enjoyed this story and all the fun activities that have been part of it.

In maths this week, we have continued to learn to record our answers.  We have been working on missing numbers, ordering numbers, number bonds to 10 and thinking of bigger and smaller numbers than a given number.  The children are applying their knowledge and demonstrating good mathematical understanding.

Please can you bring in some clean recycling for us to use during our week about 3d shapes.

Have a lovely weekend.
