Peppard class - 15th October 2021
Date: 13th Oct 2021 @ 4:01pm
Welcome our week in Peppard class.
In phonics this week, we have learned the new sounds
h,b,f,l and tricky words - I, go, no.
We are very impressed with the letter formation lessons, the children are very enthusiastic to develop their skills.
In maths, we have continued the phase of 'It's me, 123'. The children have been deepening their understanding of representing and comparing numbers. We have been practising the skill of subitising and we have made our own number line out of dinosaurs.
In PE, we began our lesson with a dinosaur movement session. We then went outside and practised some of the different ways of moving in teams. We then played a game called 'the dinosaur nest.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our continuous provsion time this week. The children have been using their maths and writing skills in imaginative play. We had a police station outside and a vets inside. We made badges, created appointments, made drinks in the waiting room and problem solved. The children were all very active in their learning and we are observing great perseverence and concentration.
Our show and tell days are:
Monday - Teddy, Bella, Erin
Tuesday - Abigale, Bethany, Bode
Wednesday - Oakley, Zander, Wren
Thursday - Lily, Bea, Hunter
Friday - Jomi, Sophia, Freddie
Your child can bring in one special object.
Have a lovely weekend
