Peppard class - 11/12/2021

Welcome to our very hectic week in Peppard class!

We hope you enjoyed the nativity play, we thought the children were incredible for every performance.  Thank you children!  

Our phonics sounds this week were:

sh - share a shell

th - thumbs up, we're having fun

ng - bling on a ring

nk - I think I am pink 

We have been reading sentences and we have been learning the spellings:

fix, fill, jam, leg, bell, dad, mess, bag, wet, duck

Tricky words

go, no, to, into, she, push, he, of

In maths this week we have been learning about shapes and time.  We have been matching and sorting shapes and we have been sequencing events and activities.  At the end of the week, we sequenced how to make a jam sandwich before making our own.  We might do that activity again!  

We have also enjoyed reading our books in small groups.  We aim for the children to be very familiar with their book and heading towards or able to read fluently.  We appreciate your help at home with reading daily.
