Peppard class - 18th March 2022

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

We have been learning to read and write longer words this week.  We are also spotting the digraphs and trigraphs in words.  We have been working on writing sentences.  

In maths, we have been making patterns and exploring 3d shapes.  We have also been practising our number bonds to 10 using a variety of different resources. 

In topic, we have been observing the signs of Spring and we have been learning some actions for the Jack and the Beanstalk story.  We have also been looking at our bean plants as they grow and change over time.  

Going forward, we will be reading at school on Monday and Tuesday in small groups.  We will then send the book home so your child can develop fluency (not sounding each word out).  We will then change the book for a different book to read at the weekend.  If you feel your child is ready to change their book because they are already fluent, please write a note in their record book.
