Springwood’s weekly news

We have had another busy week in Springwood, including a visit to St Mary’s to sing with Lucy.  We have also been extending our knowledge of fractions by learning how to multiply and divide them; coming up with paired counter balances in PE and investigating different types of non- fiction texts in English.

Last Friday 

On Friday we announced the winners of the poster competition to raise money for Burundi.The winners from Springwood were Astrid and Heather and Max F. 

Tuesday 

On Tuesday, a few Y5s and Y6s went to a cross country event at The Oratory.  It was 2km and very muddy.  There was a year 4, 5 and 6 race.  Everyone had a great time - we got hot chocolate and biscuits at the end!

Wednesday 

On Wednesday we went singing at St Mary’s primary school. Our instructor was called Lucy. We sang ‘Just can’t wait to be king’ from the Lion King and we made up some cool actions to go along.
