Advent has Begun!
Date: 3rd Dec 2023 @ 6:00pm
Another extraordinarily busy week has flown by.
Many thanks to all of you who managed to pop in to look at all the work your children have been doing since September. They were so excited that you were coming in.
You should all be so proud of the progress they are making. I know I am!
The children braved the cold on Tuesday to play rugby on the Common and came indoors with rosy cheeks, energised and ready to make their Baby Bear Chairs.
Mrs Fowler, Mrs Dunne and myself were so impressed by how independently the children worked, problem solved and also assisted their partners to complete their constructions using the materials at their disposal. They found sticking to their initial designs fairly challenging and needed to be reminded about the design criteria and to stay true to their own design; quite a tall ask for 5-7 year olds, and yet they coped really well.
Our Nativity rehearsals are in full swing and we have enlisted the help of the very talented Lottie Eary to get us to the 'finish line.' The children were so excited to see the stage being constructed in their classroom.
Our local literacy inspector popped into Peppard Primary Schppl this past week and was impressed to see our Grey's class hard at work learning their phonics and spelling. He was also impressed by thier wonderful behaviour!
On Friday, the 1st of December, the children were full of stories about the elves who had visited them overnight! Wow some of these elves were so mischievous!
FOR THIS WEEK:
- Please could you ensure that your child's Nativity costume is at school by Thursday.
- Please could you assist your child with their lines. They need to know these to enable us to rehearse properly as we only have a week to practice movements.
On a personal note, thank you all for your support and encouragement. It is much appreciated.
Have a great week.
Mrs Tully
