We’re getting into routines now and this is seen in the excellent work that the children are doing!
In our maths work we have been using resources to build on our knowledge of numbers up to 20. We finished the week working on estimation and drawing number lines.
Our English work has been a real focus this week, with Aurora’s writing work being shown in Starbook assembly. We’ve been focusing on the retelling of a story about a selfless caterpillar that gives all of his shoes away to insects with greater need.
The children are learning with Performance Sport coaches honing their rugby skills. This will culminate in a Rugby Festival for them and children from other schools at Henley Hawks later on in the term.
Mrs Griffith is working on scientific enquiry this term and they were challenged to construct the longest paper chain this week. Ollie took his work home with him and came back with a paper chain 3 metres and 10 centimetres long!
