Spirituality

Spirituality at Peppard Church of England Primary School

At Peppard Church of England Primary School, our vision is simple but powerful:

“Encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

We believe that every child and adult in our school community is unique and valued. Spirituality is at the heart of our school life—it’s about exploring life’s big questions, discovering meaning and purpose, and developing a sense of connection with the world, with each other, and with God.

Spiritual growth happens in many ways across our school:

  • Through our curriculum, where children explore ideas, reflect, and respond creatively to learning.

  • Through collective worship, where pupils gather to reflect, celebrate, and consider how they can live out our Christian values.

  • Through our ethos and environment, which encourages kindness, respect, perseverance, and moments of awe and wonder, whether in the classroom, in nature, or during outdoor learning such as Forest School.

  • Through extra-curricular activities and community involvement, where pupils develop empathy, care for others, and contribute positively to school and wider communities.

Our spirituality policy was developed collaboratively with staff, governors, children, and families, ensuring it reflects our school community and brings our values and vision to life every day. We strive to nurture curious, reflective, resilient, and compassionate individuals who are inspired to live well and support one another.
