Ofsted Inspection January 2026

We are delighted to share the positive outcome of our most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2026. Inspectors recognised Peppard Church of England Primary School as a warm, nurturing and ambitious school community where pupils feel safe, valued and proud to belong.

The report highlights the strong culture across the school, noting pupils’ exemplary behaviour, enthusiasm for learning and confidence in sharing their ideas. Inspectors also praised the calm, purposeful classrooms and the strong relationships between staff and pupils that create a supportive environment where children thrive.

Early reading and phonics were identified as particular strengths, with skilful teaching helping children develop the essential foundations for reading and writing. The inspection also recognised the school’s rich programme of trips, clubs and leadership opportunities that support pupils’ personal development and confidence.

Inspectors noted that pupils describe the school as feeling like “a family”, reflecting the strong sense of community that lies at the heart of Peppard.

Castle to Common

On Saturday 25th April, an incredible group of parents took on the challenge of walking from Windsor Castle to Peppard Common, along the Thames Path and up through the Chiltern Hills - and what a journey it was.

From freezing starts and swollen fingers, to blazing sunshine (and a very welcome Pimms & ice-cold water pit stop!), every step was taken with determination, humour, and true team spirit.

They were cheered home in the best way possible at Peppard Common by our amazing community, a moment we won’t forget. Incredibly together, they’ve raised over £11,000 for our school.
